dance like there's no tomorrow
I recently did a quick mental weekend getaway to Bangkok. The city known for it's unbridled passion for sex, shopping and beauty. This was my fourth trip to the Thai capital. I really needed the break cos I was feeling so much pain and stress and I kept telling myself, I need to get away before I collapse from mental breakdown. Coincidentally, my cousins Sam and Pearl had planned a weekend in Bangkok too. So I thought why not join them?
So on Friday after touchingdown from Denpasar, me and Dams made a quick dash to her car parked outside the terminal, changed, got our bags and ran to get our tickets. Then promptly boarded the flight. We were tired as fuck seeing as we had been working since 6am and it was now nearly 7pm but we were really excited about this trip. We reached Bangkok and wasted no time in getting a cab to Bangkok Palace which was to be our new home for the next two nights. And as luck would have it, our wonderful driver informed us that he had no idea where Bangkok Palace was halfway thru our journey. And thru broken English we tried to explain ourselves. Thank God for Dams cos she had worked in Bangkok for 3 months awhile ago so she knew bits and parts of the language.
Upon reaching the hotel, Sam and Pearl were already waiting for us. So we threw our bags in the room, did a final touchup and left for Kaoshan Road which is like our Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Bintang but on a more street-party like mode. People were dancing and singing and performing on the streets. It was like a carnival. And there was a HUGE array of street food on display. So many stalls selling all kinds of weird wonderful tasty CHEAP food!! God.. it was food heaven. We ate while we walked. Sadly, didn't take any photos cos we were too busy stuffing ourselves and checking out the people. Also did a spot of shopping. Then I thought it's time for some sex shows. Dams did the honour of finding the most shifty looking person on the streets and approached him and asked him. And he said the best one is about ten minutes away by tuk tuk. And we thought, fine why not? It was a decision I soon regretted. Not the show itself but the journey there. These tuktuk drivers have little care for traffic rules and they just zoom in and out as they like. And here we were four urban city people crammed into that tiny space.
The show itself was entertaining. I'd seen this before but for Sam and Pearl it was their first time seeing things being pulled out from in between the ladies' legs. From blades and needles to smoking cigarettes and blowing out candles to popping out pingpong balls, nothing was left to the imagination. Thank God they were neatly trimmed and shaved!! Then a guy came on stage and proceeded to have sex with another female in every position imaginable. After the show, we headed back to the hotel for our much needed sleep. It had been almost 24hours since I had woken up.
This shot was taken on our final day. We wanted to try real authentic Thai food and this was the only proper place we could find. It was in between two HUGE buildings and thus was shielded by the scorching sun. Below is Dams greedy attempt at trying to steal my food ;) It's such a candid photo and I love it!! Still laugh looking at it.
And this is Sam and Pearl at their candid best.
This is the fiery tomyam we had. Check out the oil but it was good!! We had two kinds. One with coconut milk and the other without.
After our eventful night at Kaoshan Road, we woke up after 3 hours of sleep to enjoy the hotel's breakfast then got ready and walked out to Pratunam where we shopped til we almost dropped. It was insane. There were so many good beautiful things to buy. And we bargained til we couldn't talk anymore. And each time one of us found something fascinating, we'd call the other excitedly like a kid finding a piece of chocolate. Bought so many stuff despite the scorching heat.
Once we've had our fill of outdoor shopping, we decided to head to MBK for some indoor shopping and especially for me cos I needed to get some things from Boots. But getting a cab to MBK proved ridiculous. No one wanted to go cos of the traffic. And the idea of walking all the way there in the heat with all our shopping bags sounded too hazardous. Thank God one guy decided to take us. In MBK, we once again got lost in all the shopping extravagance. And Dams managed to find a beauty salon that catered to what each of us wanted. Dams wanted highlights, a mani and a pedi. Sam wanted a pedi. Pearl wanted the pedi and the mani. And me? I needed a proper foot massage. So there we were. Pampered. The salon really made a fortune from all of us. And for all the stuff we had done, it came to a combined total of rm200. These included 3 pedicures, 2 manicures, nail extensions, highlights and a massage! In Kuala Lumpur a highlight alone would cost at least rm200!
Pearl getting her nails done..
Dams getting her hair and toes done.. Not too sure about the sunglasses though..
Me catching some sleep as my feet were being rubbed..Sam getting his feet done..
We got back to the hotel just in time to change and get ourselves gussied up for a night of clubbing. Despite the fatigue, we were all still running on adrenaline. On tonight's agenda, it was a show at Tawan Bar then off to Santika for a round of drinks and dancing. Now, last night we saw the power of what females can do with their bodies, tonight we were going to see what the boys can do! Now to find Tawan Bar was not easy. NOT EASY. Everyone kept putting us in the wrong direction but perseverance paid off and we found it.
When we got in, it guys guys guys everywhere clad in only skimpy SKIMPY red briefs with numbers on them. And they were parading around, chatting people up. The room just smelled of sex. Then at 10.30, all the guys disappeared and everyone focused their eyes onto the stage and the show started. And let me tell you, nothing was left to the imagination!! The guys came back out naked and with their cocks HARD and paraded. Then each of them performed different routines and dance moves and sex moves. And couple did such an amazing feat of acts that everyone was clapping and cheering. Seriously, how on earth can you balance yourself from monkey bars while fucking each other? And they even fucked while hanging on to different swings that just swung their bodies around. Sick but inspirational ;) It was truly an eye opener indeed.
After the show, we went off to Santika which is this old abandoned church that had been converted into a club. The cross and all the stained glass was still there. And the music was provided by a live band who were very VERY good. We were very impressed. Unlike Kuala Lumpur, there was no 24hour mamak to satisfy us after clubbing, but we did find this quaint little street stall near the hotel that sold this very satisfying soup noodles with pork innards. Every part of the pig was in it. At least I hope it was pig..
Us getting ready for our night out..
The best of the group shots we took.. I must have lost the memo on the all black dresscode.
The girls doing the glass door thing..
After getting a few hours sleep, we were up at the crack of dawn for a quick breakfast then off to Chatuchak Market for our last round of shopping. We were all really stoked about this cause none of us had ever been to Chatuchak and we had heard so much about it. We made it a point to go early to avoid the crowd and at least the morning coolness was still there before things got to a boiling point at midday. Once again, we shopped til we almost dropped. It was insane. Each time I made a purchase, I promised myself that this would be the last and I even told the others to stop me if I was gonna buy something else but that never happened. I just kept buying and buying. It was like a sickness. While shopping we came to the pets section and this beautiful puppy caught my eye and made me fall in love. She was so CUTE!!!
I've never really been a dog person but this dog was adorable!! Sigh.. Chatuchak was great. And I'm glad we went early cos after 4 hours, it was getting too crowded and the heat was getting unbearable. Once glad with all our spoils, we left and headed back to the hotel where we gathered to talk about the past 2 days and to discuss our plans for the rest of the day. Dams and me were leaving in the evening. Sam and Pearl the next day. We decided to go get a massage and food and maybe another spot of shopping in the streets ;)
We found this wonderful massage place. We all decided on reflexology. The one male masseur pulled me aside and told me to get body massage for the same price and I'm like ok fine. So i bid farewell to the others and followed him upstairs then he tells me for an added 100baht, why not try the oil massage? At this point, all I wanted was a massage and at rm30 for an hour of massage, it was a steal!! So i agreed. I got naked and he worked on my back, paying extra attention to my butt. Too much attention. Then he asked me to turn around and worked on my legs and stomach, purposely touching my cock. After which when I was all hard and excited, he simply proceeded to give me a VERY good relief to which I was very delighted ;) After I came, he got me to shower then wiped me dry afterwards. Now this was what I call good customer service! I came downstairs and the guys were almost done. My masseur brought me tea and for the next ten minutes, we were very chummy with each other, to which Dams noticed but didn't say anything til we were on the way back in the airplane. Such a clever girl.
Below are just random photos which we took throughout the journey but I had no idea where to put them in. This one is of Sam in the streets of Pratunam.
This is of us crammed in the tuktuk trying to get from Pratunam to MBK. We did not end up taking this tuktuk cos of price negotiation.
This is the four of us being creative in the hotel lift. It had mirrors on all four walls so obviously inspiration struck! I like the pose and the warmth of each photo.
Sam and me waiting as the girls got ready..

Us in the lift AGAINWalking out from the hotel out onto the streets. Walking the walk..
All in all, it was an AMAZING weekend. It wasn't very much a relaxing weekend but it was fun fun fun fun none the less. And I'm glad I went with the people I went. Nothing like retail therapy to rejuvenate one's self!!
