mouth

Two days ago, I had one of the most disgusting days I've ever had in a very long time. And I think I must have missed it on my calendar but it was International Bad Breath Day.

The day started out nice and sunny. Like any other day. I had an afternoon flight, so after getting ready, I boarded the bus to the airport when I encountered my first wave. He sat next to me, this guy might have been 40 something, balding, overweight and I knew from his appearance I was not gonna enjoy sitting next to him. And true enough, he didn't even have to talk to me and I could smell his BAD onion breath! He was breathing thru his mouth!! And I was dying! I turned the air vents above directly towards me to try to blow the stench away but no help. I couldnt even change seats cos the bus was full. I had half the mind to tell him to please try breathing the normal way! But I didn't and I suffered the whole way.

Wave 2 came from a passenger on my flight. It was about one hour into the flight and I was alone in the galley while the other crew was carrying out the service when along came this American guy, with extreme bad teeth that needed braces badly. He wanted to ask about the company and where-else do we fly to so I happily obliged him. I was sitting down and he was standing and all of a sudden, I caught a whiff of somethign foul. Like vomit. Sour curdled milk. I thought it was coming from one of the toilets. So I stood up and grabbed the airfresheners and lightly sprayed the galley. Then I stood next to him to continue our conversation. And the moment he opened his mouth, I felt faint. It was like a skunk had crawled in there and died! The smell. And my crew chose this time to come back to the galley with the cart cramping everything in the galley pushing me closer towards him with my life flashing before my eyes! I nearly passed out.

And then in Macau, after everyone had gone off the aircraft, the guest service staff came onboard to notify me of a slight delay at the immigration gates. And guess what? Yup, Wave 3 hit me. Woman's breath smelt like socks! Wet dirty old socks! I literally had to brace myself. And she kept coming closer to me like as though I can't hear what she has to say. Stupid bitch.

And finally Wave 4 came from another passenger. This time a handicapped guy who I had to help get into his seat and I had to bend over to help out on his seat belts and that was when he decided to speak and a cloud of wet nauseating air hit my face and I knew it was gonna take me a long time to forget the bad bad sensation. I had to run to the toilet to wash my face.

So please be wary of International Bad Breath Day. It's a bitch and it'll hit you when you least expect it. Stupid morons. I now carry mints and offer it whenever I get the slightest whiff of poor dental hygience.
