you're so vain

I have a story to tell. About 2 weeks ago, i was in court suing another capitalist company who was hellbent on taking away my money without giving me my money's worth. Before my case, i got the chance to hear another case. This guy, Mr Man was suing a matchmaking company for not meeting his requirements in the dates that they found him. So the judge or president as we called him, asked Mr Man what was the exact problem? Mr Man explained that he had specifically requested for a certain kind of female.

As the president pressed Mr Man further to explain exactly what he meant, I was cringing in my seat, hoping to God, Mr Man wouldn't say what i was fearing he would say. And then it came out from his lips. "I asked for a slim girl". I swear i heard the entire court shift in their seats and whisper. I even heard soft giggles!! You see the thing was Mr Man was no hot stuff. Nope.. he wasn't even lukewarm stuff. What Mr Man was is U G L Y and he had no alibi. Yes Mr Man you are found guilty of not looking in the mirror and not realizing your place in society!!

You see the thing is this kinda thing is happening all around us. People wanting things they are not supposed to have. Forbidden fruits. Sometimes it right, and sometimes it just ain't right. Brad and Angelina.. yea.. that was right. 2 heavenly bodies coming together. Very right. Don't we all stop to ponder when we see a gorgeous guy/gal with a riftraft? Sure, it could be charity work or even karma cleansing on his/her part but the very fact that we stopped to ponder makes us guilty of wanting to be constantly surrounded by all things beautiful. Something inbred? Dunno.. All I know is Christina Aguilera's Beautiful, ain't all that right a song. It's a beautiful ballad but the words.. can be improved.

on top of the world

Tis the season to watch men chase a ball on the green field of dreams. Wonder whose gonna win? My supports for England as always. But i don't really watch the game. I watch the men.

burnin up

Freaking hot day. It's so blisteringly hot. Need to peel off my sweat soaked clothes clinging to my skin. Need to liberate myself from humility. Just wanna run and dance in the rain, when and if it rains. Singing I Wanna Dance With Somebody. But really don't need anyone to dance with me. I do well on my own, thank you very much.

But seriously, this tropical sun is really too hot. It makes you almost inactive. Ironic seeing as how, everything else in nature strives on the sun and need it to function. But.. I can't. Just wanna sit at home, sipping ice water and maybe licking ice cream. Reading a good book.

book review
Recently finished reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Prefered this to DaVinci Code. The storyline runs along the same track actually. Professor found in the nude, dead with a symbol, call in the protagonist whose the same guy in DaVinci Code, the professor's daughter gets involved too, revealing ancient symbols and deciphering hidden codes. This takes place all over Rome. An ancient group called the Illuminati, hellbent on destroying the Catholic church has surfaced. They've killed the Pope, kidnapped 4 cardinals and are threatening to blow up the Vatican with a new-age bomb created by the dead professor and his daughter. Along the way, there will be many references to Catholicism, the great Arts and physics!! I swear, when the pages started blurring, it was becos scientific terms regarding the laws of physics started popping up. Overall, a good read. Wonder if this is gonna be a movie? Couldn't help imagining the pages on the screen. Especially all those talk about the picturesque quality of Vatican City.

b i t c h

The day is Tuesday. And I've heard it all before. I'm staring at my wall. And I see love. I feel love.
Am I blessed? Of course I am.
Am I lucky? Duh..
Am I thankful? Of course.
Cos life is too fragile to be all nose-high and ungreatful. We hang by threads and at any moment the puppeteer called Destiny will shear us free. She is cruel. She is a bitch. Life's a bitch.
Recently, i've been plagued by the revelation that Kuala Lumpur ended up as 3rd rudest city on earth. It drove me nearly mad. Not sure if I'm to be proud or horrified. Are we really that rude a bunch? Ok.. on the road.. yea.. even the most saintly granny among us turns into she-devils. Even at check out lines. And buffet lines. At the LRTs. At cinemas (handphones). List goes on.. And here we are a nation that prides itself on tradition and culture and yet we are becoming almost robotic in our behaviour forgetting our roots. Hmm..
